Halloween Events at the Lake of the Ozarks

The month of October is quickly coming to an end, which means it's time for the scariest holiday of all. Will you be spending Halloween at the Lake this year? Your favorite mortgage lender at the Lake of the Ozarks has all the details on the upcoming Halloween events.

Hy-Vee Hollow Trick-or-Treat 

Date: Thursday, October 26
Time: 4-7 pm
Place: Hy-Vee Parking Lot
Details: Bring the kids for trick-or-treating at Hy-Vee. Admission is $2 per child, and all of the proceeds will benefit 2 local organizations: The Dream Factory and Camp Wonderland. Refreshments will be provided.

Zombie Wasteland Haunted House

Date: Thursday, Friday and Saturday, October 26-28
Time: Opens at 7 pm
Place: 474 S. Hwy 7 in Camdenton (Next to the Airport)
Details: Survive a zombie wasteland with lots of foam darts and a nerf gun of your choice. Tickets are $10 per person and proceeds benefit Kids Harbor Child Advocacy Center.


The Haunted Holler

Date: Friday & Saturday, October 27-28
Time: 8 pm to Midnight
Place: Trail located 1 mile behind Hy-Vee in Osage Beach
Details: The Haunted Holler is a quarter mile haunted trail in the woods. Admission is $10 per person on Friday and $15 per person on Saturday. Recommended for ages 6 and up, and children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Howl-O-Ween Festival 

Date: Saturday, October 28
Time: 10 am to 2 pm
Place: Dogwood Animal Shelter
Details: The 7th Annual Howl-O-Ween Festival is free to attend. There will be a pet costume contest and other fun competitions, a raffle, grilled lunches for purchase, local artists and crafters on site, a mini Dogwood Thrift Shop and more!

Halloween on the Bagnell Dam Strip 

Date: Saturday, October 28
Time: 8 am to 9 pm
Place: Bagnell Dam Strip
Details: Halloween on the strip will feature a 3K Haunted Fun Run, Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser, Trick-or-Treating on the Strip, Games of Skill, a Cookie Walk, Costume Contest, Pie Eating Contest, Teen Night with a scary movie and bonfire, all followed by adult fun with costume contest, bands and other entertainment.

Kid's Halloween Spooktacular at Captain Ron's

Date: Sunday, October 29
Time: 5-6:30 pm
Place: Captain Ron's
Details: Bring your little ghosts & goblins to Captain Ron's to grab some loot! Several local businesses will be handing out goodies.

SpookTacular Trick-or-Treat 

Date: Tuesday, October 31
Time: 6-9 pm
Place: Splatz Paintball
Details: A safe, family-friendly trick-or-treating experience with music, contest, fun and games!

Halloween Events at the Lake of the Ozarks

Whether you have kids that you're taking trick-or-treating or you're just dressing up for an adult party, there's plenty going on at the Lake of the Ozarks for Halloween this weekend! In today's blog, your Lake of the Ozarks mortgage lender offers the details on upcoming fall and Halloween events.

U-Pick Pumpkin Patch & Fall Attractions - Now through October 30
The Mecca Family Farm's Pumpkin Patch in Roach is open Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm. Attractions include a corn crib, corn cannon, big slide, face painting & photo ops, petting zoo, hay rides and a maize walk.

The Haunted Holler - Now through October 31
The Haunted Holler is a quarter mile haunted trail in the woods, open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 8 pm to midnight. Admission is $10 per person. The trail is located one mile behind Hy-Vee in Osage Beach. Recommended for children ages 6 and older. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Zombie Wasteland Haunted House - Now through October 29
Haunted House to benefit Kids Harbor Child Advocacy Center is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Children must be accompanied by an adult.  The haunted house is located next to Malarkey's Pub & Grill in Camdenton.

Bonfire & Hayride at The Lodge of Four Seasons - Now through November 5 
The Lodge Hayrides along the Lake and throughout the resort are happening every Saturday from 4-7 pm. Hayrides are included in the resort service fee for overnight stays or are $5 for the public. Hayrides also include s'mores, hot cocoa and mini pumpkins for the kids set around the lakeside bonfire beach location.

Hy-Vee Hollow Trick-or-Treat Maze - October 27 
Safe trick-or-treating and family fun in the Hy-Vee parking lot on Thursday, October 27 from 4-7 pm. Cost is $2 per child and all money raised from the event will be donated to Dream Factory & Wonderland Camp. 

Captain Ron's Adult Halloween Party - October 29 
The 10th Annual Adult Halloween Party at Captain Ron's is happening Saturday, October 29, featuring live music, specials, prizes and lots of ghoulish costumes. 

Halloween Bash Trick-or-Treat on the Strip- October 29 
Trick-or-Treating at the businesses along the Historic Bagnell Dam Strip from 1-4 pm and games at Luby's Plaza from 2-5 pm. There will be a pumpkin carving contest, a cake walk, 4pm costume contest and 4:30 pm pie eating contest. 

Franky & Louie's Halloween Costume Party - October 29 
Close out the season with Franky & Louie's Halloween Party starting at 9 pm on Saturday, October 29. There will be a $500 cash prize for the best costume.

Tucker's Shuckers Halloween Costume Party - October 29
Costume party at Tucker's Shuckers from 9pm - Close. There will be cash prizes for costume contest winners, as well as dueling DJs all night long! 

Kid's Halloween Spooktacular at Captain Ron's - October 30 
Bring your little ghosts & goblins to Captain Ron's to grab some loot on Sunday, October 30 from 5-6:30 pm. 

Spooktacular Trick-or-Treat - October 31
A safe, free, family-friendly trick or treating experience will be held at the Save-A-Lot parking lot in Camdenton from 6-9 pm on Monday, October 31st. Music, contests, fun and games will be held.

Halloween Events at Lake of the Ozarks

Halloween is just under two weeks away and the celebrating starts now at the Lake of the Ozarks. There are tons of family-fun Halloween events happening all throughout the next two weekends. Grab the kids, grab some costumes and head on out to some of these great events. Happy Halloween from your Lake of the Ozarks mortgage lender!

Pumpkin Patch at Hy-Vee Hollow: October 24-25


Fun activities for the entire family, Saturdays and Sundays 10am - 6pm. Straw bale maze, old fashioned water pump duck races, a corn pit, seesaws, hay mountain and free hayrides.

Bonfire & Hayride at The Lodge of Four Seasons: 

Saturdays through November 14


Come enjoy a hayride and bonfire on the beach complete with s'mores, hot chocolate, hot cider and complimentary pumpkins for children under 12. Hayrides begin at 5:00 pm and run every 20 minutes with the last ride leaving at 6:40 pm. Reservations are strongly suggested as there is limited space available on each ride. Hayride & bonfire are $5 inclusive per person. Ages 5 and under are FREE. For more info or to make your reservation, please call 573-365-3000 ext 0.

Lucas Oil "Spookway" Free Trick-or-Treating for Kids: October 24


This Annual Safe Trick or Treat Night is a big hit with the area youth as the "Diamond of Dirt Tracks" gives kids a safe trick or treat experience. The event begins at 5:00pm on Saturday, October 24th. The event is FREE to the public and everyone is welcome to attend. This is a great avenue for area business owners, groups, and organizations to show their wares to Mom and Dad while handing out treats to the kids. Last year over 500 trick or treaters visited the Lucas Oil "Spookway".

HOWL-O-WEEN Festival: October 24 


Dogwood Animal Shelter's annual HOWL-O-WEEN Festival offers family fun from 10 am to 2 pm! Contests, food and entertainment, plus vendor booths and lots of smiles!

Eldon PTO Trunk-or-Treat: October 24


Join the Eldon Elementary PTO in a FUN, FREE, FAMILY fall themed event from 6-8 pm. Along with a large Trunk-or-Treat, the City of Eldon will be providing a hayride, maze and bounce house all for FREE!

Tunnel Dam Gardens' Haunted Maze and Hayride: October 30-31


The Tunnel Dam Gardens Haunted Maze and Hayride is back! The "Spookiest Family Plots" contest is giving the area's most maniacal minds an opportunity to unleash their horrific visions and possibly win a few bucks in the process. "Family Plot" displays will be set up along the hay ride route, and voted on by visitors. Cash prizes will be awarded to audience favorites. Admission is $5 per carload. The event runs from 7-11 pm both Friday and Saturday.

Halloween at The Ice: October 31 


Dress up in your favorite Halloween costume and come to The Ice! We will have games and activities. Candy for the kids and a Halloween costume contest. Cost for skate: $10 for a skate session and $3 for skate rental. The event will run from 4-10 pm.

Halloween Bash on The Strip: October 31


Trick-or-Treat at the businesses along the Historic Bagnell Dam Strip from 2-4 pm. Costume contests for both kids and adults!
